I have done this for decades, when:
a) I have food that I know is probably nutritionally bankrupt, old, tired but it's the only thing I have to eat.
b) I know my body won't tolerate a food particularly well
c) I simply want to release and uplevel the energetic value of the food
It's simple, it's free and it works. Over the years I've taught it to probably thousands of students and they have energy tested to evaluate the change in the food ..... every time it seems to work... after 'circling' the food tests strong.
We do it with our hands energetically in Eden Energy Medicine
BUT
The blessings that religions feature before eating a meal have the same effect.
Words carry a vibrational quality that can impact the energy of the food.
I remember teaching this many years ago and there was a 'religious leader' in the audience and after class we tested with an apple that was energy testing weak on several people, it wasn't organic and probably had chemicals on it. He blessed it for about a minute in Hebrew and we tested it afterwards and it tested strong on each of those people.
Whatever way you choose, blessing enhances the vibrational quality to be more easily assimilated by the body and therefore less stressful and more nutritionally beneficial.
HOW TO DO IT...
Begin by grounding yourself.
Take a few deep breaths to centre your mind and body, creating a calm and focused state.
Hold your hands a few inches above the food, and start making slow, deliberate circular motions.
Speed and size and distance away from the body will depend on you and will probably be different every time. The secret is to feel the connection with the food and 'normally' we circle anticlockwise with the left hand to remove stale tired energies
We then swop hands and with the right hand circle clockwise to draw in positive, stabilising energy.
You might like to end by visualising positive energy, such as light or warmth, flowing from your hands into the food. Imagine this energy infusing the food with love, gratitude, and healing properties.
Some practitioners might also chant or silently repeat affirmations or blessings, enhancing the intention behind the gesture.
The circular motion is significant in many spiritual and healing traditions. It symbolizes cycles of life, continuity, and the flow of energy.
By circling above the food, you are not only drawing out tired energy but also imbuing it with positive vibrations, aligning with natural rhythms and cycles.
This act can help harmonise the food's energy with your own, fostering a sense of unity and balance.
The movement also helps focus your intention and direct your energy more effectively, enhancing the overall impact of the blessing.
Incorporating this practice into daily life can profoundly affect one's relationship with food and nourishment.
It encourages mindful eating, where each meal becomes an opportunity to connect with the sustenance provided by the Earth.
This mindful approach can lead to better digestion, improved health, and a deeper appreciation for the food we consume.
By blessing food through the simple act of circling above it, we honour the energy and effort that brought it to our table, enriching our body, mind, and spirit .... I once studied with John Thie, founder of Touch 4 Health and I remember him saying:
Always thank the cook and make each meal a sacred experience.
Be mindful of the energies where you eat and avoid eating while watching the news on TV, or discussing business or arguing - it all diminishes the body's ability to process the food.
I am a fan of ROBERT PENG, his book The Master Key is fascinating.
He has his own way of energetically improving food, or in this clip brandy ...
